Day 1: Arrival day
On arrival at the Entebbe International airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver/guide from Budget Safari and Car Rental Services who will then transfer you to Kampala for overnight either at Serena Hotel (High end/luxurious accommodation), Royal Capital Palace Hotel, Grand Imperial Hotel (Medium class accommodation) or Fairway Hotel (low Budget accommodation).
Day 2: Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, depart from Kampala early morning and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, having a stop over at the equator line for photos. The drive takes you through savanna grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredible long curving horns. Bwindi is home for the rare mountain Gorillas, there over 360 mountain Gorillas and it is a bird watchers haven, it holds over 346 species of birds and contains 90% of all albertine rift endemic species and other primates. Dinner and overnight either at Mantana Tented Camp (high end luxurious accommodation), Buhoma homestead (medium class accommodation) or Buhoma community camp (low Budget accommodation).
Approximate driving time is 8 –9hours.
Day 3: Gorilla tracking
After breakfast and briefing from the guide, enter the forest in search for mountain Gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable forest is a home for the rare mountain Gorillas and about 650 individual gorillas left in the whole world half are Bwindi. Tracking may take 2 – 8 hours, depending on the location of the Gorillas. One may walk a short or long distance in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After tracking return to Camp for relaxation, overnight at the lodge.
Day 4: Bwindi _ Queen Elizabeth National Park
Depart from Bwindi for Queen Elizabeth National Park, with a game drive in the Ishasha sector, which is in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Expect to see the famous tree climbing lions that can be spotted on the large fig trees and other wild life such as Topis, Buffaloes and warthogs.
Dinner and over night either at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana Lodge (high end luxurious accommodation), Mweya Students Hostel (low budget accommodation).
Approximate driving time is 5 – 6 hours.
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early morning game drive to Kasenyi area to look for the lion prides and other wild life such as Uganda kobs, Buffalos, Leopards, Hyenas, Elephants. Kasenyi area is refered to as the Kobs mating grounds and it in this place lions target to grab Kobs mating. Return to lodge for lunch break.
In the afternoon take a launch cruise on the Kazinga channel where you will have a chance of seeing the hippos huffing and spraying mere feet away from the boat, Buffalos lingering at the banks of the water, crocodiles and a variety of water birds species.
Dinner and over night at the lodge.
Day 6: Queen – Kampala fly out
After breakfast, return to Kampala with brief stop at the Mpambire drum village to buy souvenirs. Continue to Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight back home, tour ends.

Booking for Gorilla Permits
We advice our clients interested in Gorilla tracking to book for a Gorilla permit at least 3 months in advance to ensure that requested dates are available. This is because of high number of trackers. The track experience starts at 8:30am local time and can take three to eight hours. The Gorilla tracking fee is $500 per – person. Gorilla tracking can also be done in Rwanda as well if permits can’t be got in Uganda at the time of booking.
What to bring
Wear jungle shoes suitable for steep muddy slopes and carry a rain jacket because the park is often wet.
Come with ear plugs for those who feel uncomfortable with jungle sounds.
Carry rain gear, sunscreen lotion, a hat (as the weather is unpredictable) and insect repellant
Carry packed lunch.
