Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali airport
Upon your arrival at Kanombe Airport in Kigali, you will be received by your guide who will also transfer you to your hotel in Kigali city.
Overnight at Lemingo Hotel/ Hotel Gorillas / Serena Hotel
Day 2: Drive to Nyungwe National Park
Enjoy your breakfast and then proceed to Nyungwe Forest but as you travel, you will also visit Rwanda National museum in Butare, Murambi genocide memorial site. You will also enjoy lunch in Butare and then proceed on with the journey. Arrive at the park in the evening and then have dinner and your overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking & a canopy walk
Enjoy your breakfast early in the morning and then proceed to the headquarters for your briefing and then go with the game rangers and also start your chimpanzee trekking. You will then view many primates including; red tailed monkeys, Angolan Colobus monkeys, the blue monkeys and the golden monkeys. The trek will take from 3 to 5 hours and immediately after the trek, you have lunch and then relax for some hours. Later on, you will proceed for a canopy walk in the forest, it’s a good time for the birders in order to enjoy the tour. The forest is also home to many bird species including the white and black casqued hornbill as well as the Rwenzori Turaco.

Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National park
Enjoy breakfast and then drive to volcanoes National park. This is also a long drive to the northern Rwanda and towards the foothills of the park. You will also check in at the lodge and then visit Lake Burera and Ruhondo.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking in the park
Have breakfast and then take a short drive to the park headquarters and meet with the beautiful local guides and the trackers who will give you a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking tours. We shall then hike into the forest to where the gorillas were seen the night before and track from that point. The trek can take from 1 to 6 hours and the climb to the altitudes not in excess of 7,500 feet. We shall also hike into the forest to be these gorillas were seen the night before and track from that. The terrain is o rough and at times so muddy. Even though the hike is physically demanding, the beauty of this forest and the surrounding scenery that makes the trekking worthwhile. It can also rain in a few minutes’ notice, hence water poof clothing is also good including the water proof bags for cameras and film.
Later, visit the twin lakes in the evening and relax or you might also stay at the lodge in order to relax for the evening.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National park
Have breakfast in the morning and the transfer southern side in Bwindi impenetrable National park, which is also home to the mountain gorillas, you will reach and then check in and take lunch as you prepare for a nature walk to the caves, the pygmies and the lake Mutanda.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
Have breakfast and then proceed to the park offices with the packed lunch for briefing about the dos and don’ts as regards to gorilla trekking. This trek also take 2 t0 8 hours and this also depends on the movement of these primates on a particular day. The trek also involves walking up the steep hills with in the thick forest before coming face to face with the gorillas. You will also stay with these gorillas for only 1 hours as you see and photography. You will also relax later in the evening after trekking the gorillas as you want to wait for dinner and an overnight.

Day 8: Drive to Rwanda, Kigali city & enjoy a city tour.
You will wake up so early in the morning and enjoy breakfast before starting the drive back to Kigali that will take 3 to 4 hours to Kigali. You will enjoy a city tour to Gisozi Genocide memorial museum, the local art and the craft shops as well as the local markets plus the shopping of some items. You will then be taken at the airport to catch your flight back home.
