Tour overview
This tour starts and ends in Kigali city. It also includes a permit of $1500 per person in the final costing. The safari also takes you to volcanoes national park to track the mountain gorillas, you will get to enjoy a city tour, visit the twin lake, a boat cruise on Lake Kivu. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Volcanoes national park
Upon your arrival, you will be picked by the guide from Kigali international Airport by your guide and will also drive you to Kigali city as well as a city tour. If you are already in Kigali, you will also proceed for a visit the genocide memorial site and the museum. You will have lunch and then drive to volcanoes National park and then drive will take 2 hours, on arrival, check in at the lodge and have dinner.
Volcanoes National park is situated in north western Rwanda and is also well known for its gorilla tracking and is also home to mountain gorillas and is home to the 5 volcanoes and these include; Sabyinyo, Gahinga, Muhabura, Bisoke and the Karisimbi. These are covered in the rain forests and the bamboo. This is where you can find the golden monkeys and the grave of the known primatologist who died because of the conservation of the mountain gorillas, she was called Dian Fossey.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking &a visit to the twin lakes
Have breakfast and then take a short drive to the park headquarters and meet with the beautiful local guides and the trackers who will give you a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking tours. We shall then hike into the forest to where the gorillas were seen the night before and track from that point. The trek can take from 1 to 6 hours and the climb to the altitudes not in excess of 7,500 feet. We shall also hike into the forest to be these gorillas were seen the night before and track from that. The terrain is o rough and at times so muddy. Even though the hike is physically demanding, the beauty of this forest and the surrounding scenery that makes the trekking worthwhile. Day 3: Golden Monkey tracking & transfer to Lake Kivu
Enjoy breakfast and then continue for golden monkey tracking, immediately after the trek, you will also return to the lodge for your lunch as you prepare for the transfer to Lake Kivu and also relax at the beach.

Day 4: Have a boat cruise and transfer to Kigali city
Enjoy breakfast and then proceed to enjoy a boat cruise on this lake and then return to the lodge and check out with your luggage to start the drive to Lake Kivu. The drive will also take 2 hours and on arrival in Kigali, you will also have lunch and later proceed to the Airport for your departure flight.
