Day 1: Arrival – Kampala
Our company representative will warmly welcome you on your arrival at Entebbe international Airport and transfer you to Sheraton hotel for dinner and overnight stay. In the evening the driver will take you through a city tour like to African village, Uganda Museum and to any place of your interest within Kampala as you wait on for tomorrow’ s transfer to Bwindi national park. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After your early morning breakfast, the driver will meet you at the hotel and transfer you Bwindi impenetrable forest for your experience of gorilla trekking. Tracking is a captivation and unforgettable experience which more than repays the effort needed to reach Bwindi and to trek through the forest. The journey will take a minimum of 8 – 9 hours then along the way take a brief stopover at the Equartor line for photos and may be visit the craft shops briefly and proceed with a visit to Igongo cultural village then have a lunch break in Mbarara. After your lunch, the drive will take you through the grasslands of Ankole whose famous sight are the famous long horned cattle then then to the highlands of Kigezi with very beautiful terraced hills. Reach Bwindi Park and check in Buhoma community rest camp for your dinner and overnight stay as you prepare and warm for a gorilla trek the next day.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking
After your early morning breakfast, with your packed lunch and drinking water head to the park headquarters for a brief orientation about the dos and don’ts of the mountain gorillas then later proceed into the forest as view the beautiful tree species, plant species with a very cool green colour, you may also be able to spot some bird species and also the blue and red tailed monkeys. Time taken searching for these gentle giants ranges from 2- 8 hours depending on their movement. When you meet them you are allowed to take photos, observe their behaviours, observe them and enjoy watching them. Return to the lodge for late lunch and rest then in the evening go for a village walk to Batwa community; experience the different lifestyle of the local people within the community. Enjoy to the fullest and later return to your accommodation place.
Day 4: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After your early morning breakfast, leave Bwindi and head to Lake Bunyonyi where you will take a boat canoe ride to visit different islands on Lake Bunyonyi, enjoy the beauty of the place, bird life is prolific. Lake Bunyonyi is the second deepest lake in Africa. The lake is a very spot view for birders. Enjoy seeing the different small birds around the island as they make different sounds. Dinner and overnight stay at Arcadia cottages/ Bird Nest Resort overlooking the shores of Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 5: Departure
After your early morning breakfast, check out and start off the journey back to Kampala, you will have en route. You may have a brief stop at any crafts display along the road for souvenirs before returning to Kampala. Later transfer to Entebbe international Airport to catch up your flight back home.
