DAY 1: Transfer to Ngamba Island for chimp viewing
Our company driver will pick you from the hotel in Entebbe after your breakfast and head to Ngamba Island chimpanzee sanctuary a place to spend time watching chimpanzees as they play, interact with each other and even watch what you are doing. This is undoubtedly one of the many fascinating experiences you can enjoy in Uganda. The thrill of knowing that by visiting the chimps on Ngamba Island you are directly contributing to their well-being, overall conservation of the species and supporting the local community gives additional meaning to your safari. You go for a boat cruise at Ngamba Island and later take a walk to the laboratories as well as the theatres where the sick chimps are threated. After your lunch, return to the main land for an overnight stay at Serena hotel/ Sheraton hotel/la petite village/ for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Bwindi impenetrable National Park
After your early morning breakfast, drive to Bwindi forest that lies on the edge of the rift valley in southern western Uganda. This park has gorilla tracking as the major tourist attraction with 4 gorilla tracking trail heads. Along the way you will have a stopover at the Equator to take some photographs and also visit the craft shops around the equator then a second stop over for en route lunch. The journey still allows en route views of the long horned cattle in kiruhura and mbarara as well as the fascinating scenery of kabale with rolling hills .Reach Bwindi in the late evening relax as you prepare for the next day. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking
After your early morning breakfast, head to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts of the gorillas so that you are more informed before heading to the forest. Searching for the gorillas takes 2-8 hours depending on their movements. When you finally meet them maximize the 1 hour given to you, take photos, and observe them and later return to the lodge for resting and later in the evening you will be taken for a village walk to the Batwa community to experience the different life styles of the local people. The Batwa people are very social and welcoming to visitors so feel free to associate with them as well. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Departure
After your early morning breakfast, check out and set off for the journey back to Kampala to catch up your flight back home. End of Safari.
